We Need You!

Drives Project Volunteers

We are looking for volunteers to assist with getting barrels out to participating businesses in the community, collecting filled barrels, organizing the food pantry and more! Food Drives begin at the beginning of November and run thru middle of December.

Drives Coordinator

The Drives Coordinator will maintain inventory of barrels checked out and barrels available and will need to keep track of information such as company conducting the drive, number of barrels checked out, the location of the drive collection points, and dates established for pick up. The Drives Coordinator will work with The Volunteer Manager to schedule the delivery and pick up of the barrels.

Bus Driver

Drive the Mission SOLANO bus and transport the guests to and from our Community Outreach Center and shelter. Volunteer bus drivers are accompanied by our shelter staff. Drivers needed for any day: Monday-Saturday: 6:00 am to 6:30 a.m., and any day Monday-Saturday: 6:15 pm to 6:45 pm.  We are looking for volunteers to serve one day a week or more for either a.m. or p.m. shift. Your choice! Each trip takes no longer than 30 minutes.

Shelter Attendant

Face to Face encounter with the homeless community that we serve. Provide support to Shelter Staff by assisting with roll call, supervision of guests, and general help with evening activities. Help maintain safe and positive environment for the guests. Positions are available around the clock! Volunteers would help by covering a shift of 3-6 hours once a week or more often if you would like.

Case Management Assistant

Help refer our guests to resources in the community that they can go to get help in areas of their life such as medical, dental, employment, housing, and financial assistance. Talk to them and document their progress, encourage them, and work with our case manager to offer them help in setting future goals. Provide written documentation and feedback to case manager. Volunteers needed one day a week, Tuesday thru Saturday, anytime between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
